You can prevent files from getting into the
McAfee Online Backup cloud
by checking the different ways files are added to
McAfee Online Backup and ensuring that the unwanted files are excluded.
- Review explicit file
selections.
In Windows, open the McAfee Online Backup Settings
window and click the
File System tab.
- Review the backup sets or
rules you use.
In Windows, open the McAfee Online Backup Settings
window and click the
Backup Sets tab.
- You can create backup
sets or rules that automatically exclude certain files and file types.
Files removed from being included in McAfee Online Backup are
automatically removed from the McAfee cloud after a grace period
and do not count against your storage usage.
Note: You cannot manually delete files you have backed up from the cloud.
In a few additional situations, files are automatically deleted from the
cloud.
- You delete a computer from
your account.
- You cancel your account.
- Your account is not in good
financial standing.
